Celebrating 25 Years of supporting Cairns & FNQ
Real Living Options Association Inc. is a local family governed organisation that specialises in individualised support to assist people with a disability to have choice and control in their life.
We have been assisting and supporting people with a disability to have a lifestyle of their choice for over 25 years.
Real Living Options Association Inc. works collaboratively with people with a disability and their families/support networks to provide assistance on a one to one basis in the following ways:
- To live in their own home or in the family home
- To have and/or maintain independence
- To participate in the community
- To enjoy social and recreational activities
How we can support you
Community Access
Community Access can be a chance for you to get out and enjoy some social interaction, or you may want to do some shopping, go to the movies, visit the library… anything that involves going out into your community.
In-home Support
We can assist with all of the chores of daily living that you are having difficulty with such as cooking, keeping your home clean and tidy, helping with your laundry and anything else you need assistance with.

At Real Living Options we try and match people by age, gender and interests based on the feedback and requests we get from each Participant. It's important that you enjoy the company of the person who is assisting and supporting you and look forward to seeing them. Depending on your needs and funding we will create a team to support you so you have consistency of support. If you don't like somebody you just need to let us know and we will do our best to find somebody more suitable.
We are a family service
Real Living Options was started over 25 years ago by the families of people who have a disability. Our Values and Mission are family based, and we welcome the involvement of families and extended networks when supporting Participants.
